From a benchmark Northern Rhone producer, this cuvee comes from granite-infused soils from vineyards in Chavanay. The Syrah is destemmed at harvest, fermentation is in open-top cubes with a two week maceration and spends eight months in a mix of stainless steel and small barrel. An unmatchable wine at the pricepoint. Lush purple fruits, wild herbs, smoke, white pepper. Like melting into a sheepskin rug next to a fireplace while wearing cashmere. Also it's snowing and you have to go anywhere or do anything.
