Entry level Pinot Grigio that I actually like, quite nice and approachable.
Classic, Scopa is a proprietary label of Pinot Grigio made through a collaboration of Botter with Coeur Wine Co. Botter is a winemaking family with a long history in the Veneto. Carlo Botter started the business 1928 by selling barrels and demijohns of local Veneto wines. After World War Two, brothers Arnaldo and Enzo began selling wine in bottles. Today Botter is run by Carlo’s great grandchildren, winemakers Luca, Annalisa and Alessandro.
“The goal here is simple: to create an affordable, everyday wine at a great price.” – Eric Clemons, Coeur Wine Co.
