Hailing from Pannonhalma, one of the smallest winemaking regions in Hungary with a sunny, temperate climate, this wine was made by world renowned winemaker Tibor Gál. Each of the grapes in this blend plays a vital part in its overall profile. The smooth and fruity notes are imparted from the Merlot and Cabernet Franc, while the crispness and freshness come from Pinot Noir and the Hungarian grape Blaufränkisch. Winemaking is thoughtful and intentional, harvested by hand early to keep alcohol lighter and fermented in stainless steel to preserve freshness and varietal fruit character. Vibrant and refreshing, boasting an aromatic, mineral driven nose backed by a palate showing fruits such as strawberry and watermelon, this wine has a backbone of zesty acid and enough weight and texture to be food friendly.
