Blind-taste anyone on this and they'll be wrong. Or at least we were. MDC is a winery founded in 2012 by two chefs that met in a kitchen and decided to start making wine together. The expression of this Chardonnay is so far from what we're used to from California that, blind, most people would think they're drinking quality Burgundy white. And that's a good thing: precise, balanced Chardonnay with more than decent mineralogy and a hint of fresh cut grass, flowers and ripe pear (think Chablis).
