One of the first Burgundian domains to estate bottle their wines after the current Marquis’ grandfather, Sem d’Angerville, stood up to the negociants’ corrupt blending practices in the 1920s. D'Angerville's parcels in Volnay touch all of the village’s great terroirs. Champans is in the heart of Volnay's Grand Crus with southeast-facing exposures. This steeply sloped calcareous terroir sits at the highest end of the parcel. Ample palate, structured, elegant. The d'Angerville name is synonymous with meticulous and minimalist winemaking to the extreme.
