What a great history in this beautiful bottle. This domaine has been in the same family’s hands since the 1700’s but they stopped producing wine in 1956. The grapes were sold to the local co-op, and only since 2016 is wine being made at the domaine again, re-envisioned by the work of Danilo Marcucci. This is natural wine in its purest form; no yeast, no chemical corrections, no sulfur. “No technology”, as Danilo would say. This is 70% Sangiovese / 30% Ciliegiolo and is uplifting, refreshing and made our eyes twinkle from the very first drop we tasted. Red fruit some funky spice, savory and refreshing on the palate.
