A dry, sparkling red version of Vinho Verde. That’s right, they can make reds in Vinho Verde, though they don’t get stateside as often as their off-dry white counterparts. This is also an aged wine, from the historic 2010 vintage, one of the best on record for Portugal in the several decades. The time in the bottle has lessen the fruitiness of the wine, now showing more earthy secondary characteristics. Very nifty and unique wine. Organically farmed, native yeast fermentation, no additives.
