Colheita Ports are Tawnies which come from a single vintage and are aged in old barrels for a minimum period of 7 years prior to bottling. They are only made/released in superior vintages (like a gran reserva rioja).
The 2009 harvest was not easy, with very high temperatures in August and September. The 2009 harvest allowed us to obtain Ports of great quality and complexity.
sourced from just 2 vineyards (Vale do Pinhão and Ferrão), both with schist soil, vines are average of 60+ years in age. 99 grams of RS. Vegan friendly. 24000 bottles produced.

dried apricots and figs, toffee, marmalade, toasted walnuts, coffee, smoky vanilla bean, raisins, medium bodied, medium sweet but well balanced with bright acidity. A one of a kind drinking experience (and you don't have to love sweet wines to be impressed).
