Maule is the Central Valley’s most southern and coolest zone, reaching a southern latitude of 35°S, yet it is still warmer and drier than Bío-Bío to its south.
was produced with fruit from young vines planted in 2010 in the ROTO Vineyard found in Loncomilla (Maule), with a splash of Syrah and Alicante Bouschet.
vineyard is a steep granitic slope with high levels of clay, canopy is left overgrown to help shade the fruit and create a more soft & easy drinking Cab, fruit is picked earlier.
Winemaker is French and it shows!
medium to full bodied, very elegant, great typicity - green bell pepper, graphite, tobacco leaf, crunchy cassis & mulberry, dark baking cocoa, coffee ground, violets, black cherry, plum, delicate tannins, a no brainer for a casual weeknight, approachable and easy to drink.
