California Pinot noir in the Veneto, fresh and fruity. a win at $20!
Equipped with modern enological techniques and considerable respect for the traditions of the area, Terregaie flourishes in the small town of Vo', south of Padova, in the Colli Euganei DOC region. Love for wine is the bedrock upon which Terregaie was conceived 4 decades ago by Salvatore Lovo, at that time a young graduate of the Institute of Conegliano, and his wife Rita whose family had roots (pun intended) in the vineyards of Colli Euganei for over a century. Today Terregaie produces its wines from 100 hectares of land (half of it planted to vineyards), recovering ancient clones and vines typical of that area.
high elevation sites. 250m. vines 16-25 years old.
The proximity to the Alps and the Adriatic allows both cool Alpine breezes and warm sea air into the vineyards
The volcanic and calcareous origin of these soils allow production of excellent wines, embracing the minerality, freshness, and persistence of the terroir.
