Dom. La Borderie is a newer house currently led by brother/sister team Simon & Marie Normand. They run their 11 hectare estate with attention to biodiversity and have planted over 1,300 trees on the estate. Simon worked for a stint at Domaine Fleury.
From a single plot ("Douce Folie") of 50 year old vines from the Merrey sur Arce with an ideal southwest exposure and the prized Kimmeridgian soil. This bottling is sourced all from 2015 harvest but not released as a vintage bottling, made in the Saignee method. The domaine only makes this bottling in superb vintages.

Just picked raspberries and Morello cherries, violets, freshly baked biscuits, supple weight on the palate, mouthwatering acidity, lovely fine bead, dry and toasty finish.
