Wow! call it a "Mini Meursault". An absolute steal, drinks like a $85-100 bottle. Stunning oak integration.

From En Chaumont in the village of Nantoux, located in the Hautes Coted de Beane just above Pommard. Two hectares purchased by Pierre Boisson in 2016 -- terrain had never been previously planted to vines. Limestone-centric, Pierre immediately saw its potential.

Soil -  Clay limestone, very stony/pebbly

Viticulture - Meticulous farming with special attention paid to soil health

Vinification - Direct press, cold stablization for 12 hours. Alcoholic and malolactic fermentation in barrel. Aged 19 months in barrel, racking at 15 months. Unflitered

A bright and beautifully concentrated value White Burgundy with a lot of salinity. In keeping with the Boisson style, this is wine is a remarkable value in the region.

--------------

  • One of the finest small producers in the village of Meursault, the Boissons have been vignerons in Meursault for more than two centuries, and the wines today are as fine as they have ever been in the long and illustrious family history.
  • The family holdings of what was long referred to as Domaine Boisson-Vadot are now collaboratively produced and bottled under the Pierre Boisson and Anne Boisson labels at the family’s cellars in Meursault.
  • The trusty formula of a high percentage of old vines, combined with careful vineyard work to nurture the greatest potential of each vintage, and patient winemaking in the cellars allows the underlying terroirs of each site to take the spotlight in the finished wines.
