The only Pinot Grigio allowed around here. (I think there is more now since we wrote this, but this one is close to our heart ;) Made by monks since 1142, they not only farm organic grapes, but apples and vegetables too for the community and run a school of viticulture. From high-elevation, marine-based soils in the Isarco River Valley, their wines are always exceptionally bright and crystalline full of character and far from your average Pinot Grigio.
