Chris Brocway is doing excellent work out at his urban winery in Berkeley. This bottling comes from 50-70 yr old Carignan, Syrah, and Valdiguié vines in Solano County’s Green Valley. Vinified partially carbonic which means it’s fresh and juicy but still structured with some neutral French oak aging as well. Snappy tart cherry, candied red raspberry and blueberry, a touch of spice and barely there tannins make this a great summer red, totally thirst quenching. Serve chilled with blue-cheese burgers.
