LIBRARY RELEASE
Grand Cru Bordeaux (although the 2019 vintage does not label the wine as such) sourced from a single 1.15 hectare parcel of iron-rich clay, sand, and limestone - planted in 1956.
This estate was started by a couple from Paris in 2015, Catherine and Christian (who sadly passed away). Catherine continued on for a few years with her son Bertrand, but they officially called it quits in 2020. Making this a very unique and rare bottling.
a fine balance between seriousness, ageability, and immediate pleasure that is not often seen in grand cru level wines. Elegance and warmth. Robust dark fruit, plums and black cherry, cedar spice, fine grained tannins, long finish with notes of mint and clove. Decant for an hour or two for maximum enjoyment or stash away in your cellar for a few more years.
