Sign-up below and pick-up a 4oz. sample bottle of wine to take home and taste.   Gauthier Jour de Soif Bourgeil Cabernet Franc 2019 Gauthier is one of the quiet pioneers of Biodynamics in the Loire (certified organic since 2000!) and this "Day of Thirst" is one of his top cuvees. This is a super-juicy but nicely structured "everyday" Cabernet Franc. It's wild, dark colored, dark fruited with a little bay leaf, a fresh wine to chew on. Friday 10/23 Tasting - Joao Pato Nerd Duck 2013

Friday Samples! Sign-up below and pick-up a 4oz. sample bottle of wine to take home and taste.     Joao Pato Nerd Duck 2013 Maria Pato created this project because of her love of the region and varietals and felt constrained by the standards of Bairrada winemaking (the trend being to use varietals that are not indigenous to the region) 94% Fernão Pires, 6% Baga. The grapes are de-stemmed, spend three hours on the skins and co-fermented spontaneously for three weeks. The wine is aged in 600L casks for six months. Unfined/ unfiltered. Drinks like a decade aged Nebbiolo. clear brick-ish hue, acidity, dusty geranium florals, fresh and lifted. We are proud to be Duckman Nerd Ducks. Join the club....

Friday 10/16 Tasting - Enderle & Moll Baden Pinot Noir 2018

Friday Samples! Sign-up below and pick-up a 4oz. sample bottle of wine to take home and taste.   Sven Enderle and Florian Moll work their two hectares of vines organically with biodynamic treatments— a rare occurrence in their region, where quality often takes a backseat to quantity. The Basis is their entry-level Pinot, from 30-year-old vines on sandstone, limestone and loess. For a "basic" wine, it's pretty impressive in 2018, with some power and maturity, generous fruit and good balance/acidity. Friday 10/09 Tasting - Morgen Long Marine Chardonnay 2018

Morgen Long Marine Chardonnay 2018 100% Willamette Valley Chardonnay from three, non-irrigated vineyards planted in mixed marine sediment soils between 1981-2008. (43% Loubejac, 40% AlexEli, 17% Yamhill). Hand-picked between September 26th and 28th, 2018, whole clusters from each site were each uniquely pressed and lightly sulfured after six hours of settling. Ambient yeast fermentation began in steel, 350L and 228L French oak barrels. Uninoculated malolactic completed in November and the barrels were lightly sulfured. If ambient yeasts did not re-engage, selected yeasts were employed to help finish primary fermentation. After one year of aging in 15% new 350L French oak puncheons, 40% neutral...
