About Dépanneur Wines
On the edge of Downtown Brooklyn and Boerum Hill at 292 Livingston Street sits Dépanneur Wines, both a wine shop and art gallery. This unique combination of art and wine is the endeavor of artist Shaun Gough who curates the art exhibitions and Nichelina Mavros, certified sommelier and wine director. (Olive the dachshund also assists in the day to day operations). As we settle into our home in Downtown Brooklyn we seek to contribute to the growing community with winemaker events, weekly tastings and talks, art installations, classes and invitation only backroom events. Our wine selection includes Nichelina's faves from years of experience (ahem tasting). Our selection is a mashup of new kids + the classics + everyday drinking at all price ranges. Nichelina likes elegant expressions, high tones, vibrant energy, and is still grappling with space-time. If you have no idea what that means, don't worry. Come on in and taste. There is always a bottle open. Visit us at the shop and linger over both the wine selection and our featured artists' work. Also, follow us on Instagram @DepWines (https://www.instagram.com/depwines) , for 1-minute video wine lessons by Nichelina.
Dépanneur has been a Williamsburg staple for going on nine years now and is soon to be opening next door to Dépanneur Wines at 294 Livingston Street. We are modeled after a Montreal Dépanneur, an updated convenience store, daytime café, and locavore gourmet grocer all in one location. We opened out of necessity - we couldn't find anything to eat at that time in our neighborhood and now we hope to serve that same need in Downtown BK. Think of us for your next party, brunch or office lunch. We cater and deliver breakfast, sandwich, cheese and charcuterie platters, large format salads, unsolicited advice and more! www.depanneur.com
